The wedding of Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Jetsun Pema, 21 has been called the third high-profile royal wedding of 2011, after the wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (second in line of succession to the British throne), and Catherine "Kate" Middleton on 29 April and the wedding of Albert II, Prince of Monaco (ruler of the Principality of Monaco), and Charlene Wittstock on 1st and 2nd July.
