Shortest person who ever lived

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the shortest man who ever lived is Gul Mohammed of India (1957-1997), who measured 57cm (22"), and the shortest woman who ever lived is Pauline Musters of the Netherlands (1876-1895), who measured 58 cm (23").

The current verified shortest person alive is Junrey Balawing, 19 of the Philippines, at 59.93 cm (23.59").

Now the experts are preparing to measure Chandra Bahadur Dangi, 72 of Nepal who claims to be the shortest person in all of history.

He claims to be only 56cm (22") tall and weighs 12 kg.

In comparison, in first world nations, the average birth weight of a full-term newborn is approximately 3.2 kg, and is typically in the range of 2.7–4.6 kg. The average total body length is 35.6 – 50.8 cm (14" – 20"), although premature newborns may be much smaller.
