21-foot crocodile caught in The Philippines, 4th September 2011

One for the album: Mayor Cox Elorde of Bunawan, Mindanao (southern Phillipines) poses with a crocodile captured by residents and crocodile farm staff on 4th September 2011.

Reportedly 21 feet long and weighs 2,370 pounds (more than 1,000 kg) which would make it among the biggest ever captured.

It took 100 people to pull the crocodile out.

It was captured after being hunted for 3 weeks.

According to my readings, the biggest alligator / crocodile ever killed / captured was almost 23 feet long - 1926 in Dhamara, India.
