Greatest purely vertical drop: Mount Thor Peak: 1,250 m
Location: Auyuittuq National Park, Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada
Summit elevation: 1,675 m
This, together with the Trango Towers, is what Alain "French Spiderman" Robert should climb.
In comparison, Mount Kinabalu's Low's Gully is 1,800 metres (5,900 ft) deep, but apparently not truly vertical.
