Amazing image of 2 galaxies colliding, 300 million light years away

Photo taken by Hubble's Hubble's Wide Field Camera 3.

At the top is a large spiral galaxy called UGC 1810. Its disk has been distorted into a rose-like shape by the gravitational tidal pull of another galaxy below it called UGC 1813.

These interacting galaxies lie in the constellation Andromeda, about 300 million light-years away from Earth.
