The monster of Madagascar

Photo taken 17 Sept 2010

Betsiboka River's estuary, Madagascar as photographed by Japan's ALOS satellite using its Advanced Visible and Near Infrared Radiometer (AVNIR-2).

Doesn't look like a huge many-tentacled jellyfish?

It's the largest river there and flows into Bombetoka Bay, which then opens into the Madagascar Channel.
