Toshiba's 10 inch Excite X10 Tablet is 7.7mm thick, thinner than a pencil (and most smartphones too).

The previous holder of The Slimmest One is Asus' Transformer Prime, at 8.3mm.

Apple's iPad 2 is 8.8mm thick.
