It was the largest predator on the surface of the planet for at least 10 million years.

The titanoboa became this large because it was much warmer on the equator after the dinosaurs died, that's why reptiles in general were larger.

The real King Kong

Gigantopithecus is an extinct genus of ape that existed from between 300,000 and 1 million years ago in what is now China, India, and Vietnam.

That means they could have existed alongside humans.

They were the biggest apes that ever lived, standing up to 3 metres (almost 10 feet) and weighing up to 540 kg (1,200 lb).

VY Canis Majoris: largest known star

VY Canis Majoris (VY CMa) is the largest known star in the universe.

- 1800–2100 solar radii in radius
- about 3 billion km in diameter
- about 4,900 light-years away from Earth.

If placed at the center of our solar system, its surface would extend beyond the orbit of Saturn.
