Revealed after 60 years: first photos of Elizabeth as Queen + family photos after recent death of King George VI

Date: exact date unknown, but Clayton was one of the first members of the public allowed into Buckingham Palace during the official period of mourning for King George VI, who died on 6th February 1952.

Background: Clayton was commissioned by artist Margaret Lindsay Williams to take a series of images which she could use as the basis for her first official portrait of Elizabeth II.

According to his contract, Clayton was not allowed to release the images for 30 years. In the event, Clayton refused to release the photos at all during his lifetime. He died in 2000. However, his family has chosen to show them to the world to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Photos of Anders Behring Breivik just after he was arrested, 22 July 2011

On 7th February 2012, photos have emerged of Anders Behring Breivik while he was being held by police just after murdering 77 people.

They show a handcuffed Breivik sitting on a cushioned wooden chair. He was wearing what appeared to be a police uniform, which he wore to dupe security staff in letting him board a boat to cross over to Utoya. His black boots are muddy, from stalking terrified children through the island's undergrowth, and an 'identification card' hangs from his neck. Police badges, which look to have been crudely stitched onto his wetsuit-type shirt, appear on each of his upper arms.

Sabariah Hassan, the mother of Nur Amalina (an only child) was reported to have called a press conference, and her statement includes the following:

- yes, the photos are of Nur Amalina. They've most likely been taken off her Facebook page.
- the clothes were bought by Sabariah herself.
- the photos were taken while Sabariah and Nur Amalina were in Paris for a holiday in August 2009.
- all the other persons in the photos are Nur Amalina's friends and Sabariah knows all of them.

Nur Amalina Che Bakri, born 7th December 1987 in Kelantan achieved 17A1s in SPM 2007, which was then the best ever record in the history of the exams, until Azali Idris went better with 20A1s in 2007.

Amalina went on to study medicine in the UK, sponsored by Bank Negara Malaysia.

Recently, her photos have caused a sensation.
